0 Software update

Unlatch and remove the cover of the device. Move the operating mode selector switch from the 'ON' position to the 'PROG' position. The white LED will flash quickly several times. On your smartphone/computer, open the list of available Wi-Fi networks and select an access point named 'snsDevice'. The device settings screen appears on the smartphone/computer display. Select "Check for Updates" and click on "Confirm". If there is a new version of the software on the network, the download of the new firmware will start. While the download of new software continues, the blue LED flashes. Wait until the white LED blinks a few times. Return the switch to the 'ON' position and snap the cover back on.

1 Do I need a newsletter subscription?

The manufacturer periodically releases software updates that improve the performance of the device and enhance the security of the network. Subscribing will allow you to receive information about the release of such updates in a timely manner. You can subscribe to the newsletter in the Telegram bot or on the website.

2 Is it necessary to use the built-in Telegram bot?

No. However, using the built-in bot makes it as easy as possible to set up the device for an unprepared user. The user can create his own Telegram bot and receive messages through it. To create your bot, open Telegram, find and click "BotFather" or open the link t.me/botfather on your smartphone. In the window that opens, you will be prompted to click the "Start" button. Type /newbot and follow the instructions to create a bot. Give it a name and a username. If the bot is successfully created, a message will be sent with a link to access it and the bot token. Save the bot token, you will need it to interact with the bot. Get your Telegram user ID. Anyone who knows the username of the bot can interact with it. To make sure we ignore messages not coming from our Telegram account (or any authorized users) get your Telegram ID. To do this, in your Telegram account, find "IDBot" or open the link t.me/myidbot on your smartphone. Start a conversation with this bot and type /getid. You will receive a user ID in response. Save this user ID to connect the sensor.

3 How to return the default bot?

The user can return to sending messages through the default bot. To do this, on the device settings page, you must check the item "I have my own bot", leave the "Telegram Token" field blank and click "Confirm"

4 How to return sending messages by default?

In order for the device to send a default message instead of a custom one, on the device settings page, check the "Change message" item, leave the "My message" field blank and click "Confirm".

5 In what position of the operating mode switch is the device turned off?

When the switch is in the "ON" position, the device is in water detection mode. In this mode, the device can stay for several years before replacing the batteries. In the "PROG" position, the device settings access mode is enabled, and the water detection mode is disabled. In the "PROG" position, the device actively consumes battery power. When the device is not in use, you can remove the batteries to turn off.

6 Can I use rechargeable batteries instead of regular batteries?

Yes, it is possible to use rechargeable batteries instead of conventional batteries, provided that the nominal voltage of each battery is 1.5V

7 Is it safe to update software over the Internet?

To update the device firmware, modern methods of encrypting traffic between the device and the server are used with authentication from both the device and the server side. This makes it impossible for unauthorized persons, devices, or malware to intercept traffic and interfere with the operation of the device.
